The list also includes the names of nine members of the Queensland Lions who are not yet on the Lions’ list, including halfback Daniel Tupou.

Lions coach Luke Beveridge said he is looking into the idea of naming an interim coach in the coming weeks.

Lions coach Michael Maguire told the Herald Sun on Tuesday the issue of his eventual vacancy would not be a distraction.
”That’s not my focus, the focus of my players is to get this group of young guys to a finals. Obviously they’ve got some huge tests ahead of them, but we’re going to try to get all our players to a championship-winning premiership and then I’m sure when that time comes (at the Lions), we’ll be ready to support their leadership and bring them the ultimate honour,” Maguire said.

AFL.com.au understands the Lions have yet to be approached regarding naming the club’s new coach but the club would be supportive of the idea.
The Lions have had numerous names in the running for the job over the last few months, including assistant coaches Matt Clark, Tim Watson and Ben Reid, but all three were eliminated from contention by Greater Western Sydney.
Former players Andrew Swallow and David Zaharakis have been named as potential candidates for the job.
Beveridge told the Herald Sun he would only be approached if the Lions made an emergency appointment to the Lions List.
